I am a 1st grade teacher in Meridian, Idaho. This is my 22nd year teaching! I have taught second grade, third grade, and special education. I finished my Master’s degree in Teaching/Educational Technology in December 2012. I love using technology in my classroom as a tool that students can use to express their creativity and knowledge. You can read more about our classroom adventures on our class website. www.mrsmiller.org
Last summer I was fortunate to be chosen to attend the Discovery Educator Network Summer Institute in Burlington, VT. It has been a roaring adventure since! I have implemented many new types of technology into my classroom instruction as a direct influence from the amazing people through the DEN. I love sharing new ideas with other educators, and I am on a quest to learn more! I have been a DEN Star for over a year now, and I am on the Idaho Leadership Council for the DEN.
My greatest technology adventure right now is introducing digital storytelling to my young students! They are loving creating their own books!
The school where I work just opened as a STEM school this fall. We are a K-5 school of choice. We are the Barbara Morgan STEM Academy!
There are many new adventures always on the horizon!
